Feeling Enlightened Like a Buddha
If you have love in your heart towards every person in this world, you will never be unhappy wherever you go in this world.
Treat even the most downtrodden person with love and respect. You never know, he may save your life tomorrow.
Always remember, a prince and a pauper know more than a prince alone.
The best way to live is to appreciate the goodness in every one.
Nobody’s life is worthless. Nobody and I mean, nobody’s.
Everyone deserves a hearing !!
To quote once again, “A prince and a pauper know more than a prince alone”
Strive for a cause. Live for a reason. And that reason should be a bigger one, beyond your own ego and self.
At any point of time you have no one to blame but yourself.
Search within yourself, you will find the cause of your own unhappiness.
Either you were being selfish, egoistic and self-centered or you are simply an a$@^\*e and you need to change yourself.
Either way, you always know what you are and what to do so please don’t blame others.
Stop blaming others and start blaming yourself.
Then only will you be able to see the change.
Otherwise, 2017 will just go by like your other bygone pathetic years.
But that’s okay, if you choose to live with yourself like that.
Your life, your decision....
Also remember that no one can get the better of you. People may take advantage of you but in the end, they can’t have your heart.
Pain is the love you held back from your fellow human beings, especially the unfortunate, unprivileged and troubled souls whom you did not show any intention to help either through your time, effort or money.
If you reduce other people’s suffering, your own suffering automatically reduces.
Kindness and good deeds are their own reward. It always comes back to you in ways you can’t even begin to comprehend.
For a starter, you only have to understand that it keeps your spirits high.
And at times, that’s all you need ... to keep you going ...
All I have learnt in my life is that - It’s better to behave right with everyone, do the good, righteous, moral things a just man ought to do and return home late, tired and spent, than to not do any of the above and return home early, but with a guilty conscience. It’s anytime better to bear all those little inconveniences, difficulties and challenges of your day, than to be or get off-track even a single day of your life ! That is just not acceptable.
I believe in American way of doing things but Indian code of ethics. Every individual gets his/her due respect whether a sweeper, a guard, a maid, a carpenter or a plumber. For me, it’s the only way to be. Just because a person is poorer or weaker in comparison to you doesn’t mean you can treat him/her and behave with him/her in any way you want. Always be humble. Money is just an illusion. It can be gone any moment in the same way as it came to you.
In India too, people do lots of shit and consider themselves righteous and cool. I was shocked to see a youth abusing an elderly tea - cigarette seller one night at around 1:00 am using all kinds of verbal abuses and other foul language. These people think they are dons of Mumbai. They are mere goons. Such people think they are smart. But in reality, they can be manipulated easily. You can use them the way you want to use them. Such people are a dozen a dime.
